Cooking the Perfect Steak
This week, the focus is all about Beef. It's interesting how we came up with this theme. Julian was watching a video about Porterhouse steak and why it is so highly sought after. I felt that the first post should be all about how to cook the perfect steak.
There are simply so many cuts - Ribeye, Striploin, T-bone, Tenderloin, etc. Then there's this whole talk about origin, feed, cattle heritage. We believe everyone can cook but if you are going to spend some good money on beef, I suggest you learn how to cook it right. Otherwise, even Kobe beef will cry on your pan.
I love Gordon Ramsey; his bad*** attitude, his flair with the fire and his passion for quality. I worship the ground his oily kitchen boots leaves a trail on. Alright, perhaps not so much as to worship, but I obey his instructions when I'm in the kitchen. And you bet it, I get my steaks right 90% of the time.
